Hey friends!

Training camp was amazing! I am learning so much about God and His goodness. Being able to spend such intentional quiet time with the Lord without all of the distractions of everyday life is the biggest blessing. My squad is called T-Squad, and we are awesome! I am loving getting to know all of my teammates. It is so cool to see how God has hand picked each and every one of us to be on this squad. I am so thankful for our leaders, coaches, and mentor. Shout out to McKay, Chach, Keith, Karen, and Cami for welcoming us with open arms and serving us so well. We truly are getting poured into.
It’s hard work opening up and sharing your heart with other people. Vulnerability is hard for me. It’s hard work when God is showing you all the places in your heart where you need to let Him in, and then completely giving those spaces to Him. But it’s so worth it. I will always have a lot of work to do and a lot to learn, but I’m looking forward to keeping my eyes fixed on him and choosing to surrender to Him and His plan each and every day.
My squad mate, Bethany, and I are in charge of Logistics for the squad, and I’m excited to see God’s provision in this role and how He chooses to grow us through it.
On Wednesday we had an entire day of learning about evangelism. That night we went to the square in Gainsville to practice what we learned. It was actually really fun, and we had some great conversations with people. We even got to pray with a man named, Jose. It seemed like it really impacted Him. God is at work in all of the little moments for sure. If you think about it, pray for Jose!
I can’t believe training camp is over and we are heading to the Dominican Republic TOMORROW! We will be serving with Mission of Hope. Yay!
Thank you all SO MUCH for your prayers! They make so much more of an impact than we can fathom, and they are definitely needed and appreciated.
Please pray for safe travels for launch. Pray that God will continue to prepare our hearts for His plans. Pray that we see where He is leading us and that all the glory goes to Him always. Please pray for courageous obedience and bold faith.
All my love,
Laura

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20
